Organization’s Mission Statement

Neighborhood Housing Services of Jamaica, Inc.  (NHSJ) is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to stabilizing neighborhoods in Southern Queens by offering homeownership education, pre-and post purchase counseling, and technical and financial assistance to residents in its communities.  By creating an awareness of affordable housing resources, NHSJ enables local residents to upgrade and preserve their properties to improve the quality life in their communities.

 

       The organization’s goals: 

       Neighborhood Housing Services of Jamaica  goals are  to create strong neighborhoods through homeownership stabilization and retention. Enhance awareness of affordable mortgage products and services. Increase the number of educated consumers on affordable financial services.  Provide access to products and services offered by our lending partners.  Address community needs through creation of products and services.  Empower residents to become strong community leaders.
