NHSJ 2007 Community Resident Team

The Community Resident Team is a NeighborWorks Initiative  that supports community building and organizing efforts among local resident leaders to strengthen resident leadership development, and build the capacity of resident leaders and civic associations in their communities.  NHSJ NeighborWorks Week 2007

On June 2, 2007 NHSJ celebrated National NeighborWorks® Week by participating in a special home maintenance project for a local senior citizen.  This  project offered Ms. Tyson a senior homeowner, the opportunity to receive FREE home repair services from NHSJ in partnership with Citibank and Harris & Harris Professionals Contractors, who came out as volunteers to participate in the clean-up and beautification– project.  Some of the repairs that were completed included landscaping and yard clean-up, scraping and painting fences, removing shrubbery, planting flowers, making repairs to steps/stoops, and other minor work. In addition, Ms Tyson will get a complete new kitchen.
